Cal Lutheran University has launched a certificate program for graduate degree holders in need of updating their skills in a rapidly changing workplace.
The executive-level certificate program is open to those who have earned a master’s degree in business administration or a similar degree.
Certificates can be earned in seven areas: finance, health-care management, information technology management, international business, management/organizational behavior, marketing and small business/entrepreneurship.
With department consent, a participant may also design an individualized program of study.
Each certificate requires completion of four three-credit courses. Students are expected to earn a certificate in six months to two years, depending on their course load, said CLU spokeswoman Lynda Fulford.
“Technology has changed so much,” she said.
“People who have MBAs may want to come and update their skills.”
Tuition is $200 per credit for CLU alumni and $250 for non-alumni. A $50 application fee will be waived for CLU alumni.
Certificate program courses will be offered at CLU’s main campus as well as its graduate centers in Oxnard and Woodland Hills.
The fall semester begins Sept. 2.
