12 Recent Grads Get $500 Scholarships

The Orange County Chinese American Chamber of Commerce last week awarded $500 college scholarships to 12 recent high school graduates.

Taken together, the grade-point average of the scholarship recipients was 4.34 and their average SAT score was 1,401, officials said.

The winners were: Tina C. Duan of Sunny Hills High; Irene Hsiao, Jennifer Koh, Jachie Tsou and Jim Chou of University High; Nina Chien of Fountain Valley High; Eleanie Chen of Edison High; Jerry Au of Huntington Beach High; Venesa Ngo of Foothill High; Connie Chen of Mission Viejo High; Tiffany Chiu of Santa Margarita High; and Helen Yang of Laguna Hills High.
