Museum Recruiting Volunteer Docents
The Fullerton Museum Center will be host to a special tea Sept. 19 for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer docent.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and will include a tour of the museum’s current exhibit, “American Dining: California’s Role.”
Museum officials said that docents are a vital part of the educational tour program, “Project Discovery,” which is offered to youths.
Docents lead tours of the museum and explain exhibits. Volunteers will be trained at the museum. Experience is not necessary, but volunteers must be enthusiastic and be able to work Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Those interested in becoming volunteer docents and attending the tea are asked to call (714) 738-6545.
