Small businesses are invited to meet with big businesses at the Sunset Hills Country Club on Sept. 5.
The hope is to provide a networking atmosphere so that the small business owners can learn how to solicit work from the big guys, explained the event’s coordinator, Patricia Jacobs.
Panel discussions with leaders from Amgen Inc. and GTE Corp. will highlight the seminar, and a trade expo with Jaco Electronics, Semtech, PTI Technologies, Blue Cross, Technicolor Video Cassette, Imation and Columbia/Los Robles Hospital will follow. The morning session will run from 7 to 10:30 a.m.
The workshop is sponsored through the Thousand Oaks/Conejo Chamber of Commerce.
The country club, at 4155 Erbes Road, can hold about 200 people and already several small businesses, including graphic designers, attorneys, accountants and computer managers have registered.
The cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Breakfast is included.
To register, call the chamber at 499-1993. For more information, call Jacobs at 579-0630.
