There were few surprises Friday when Coach Jim Fenwick announced the starting lineup for the season opener at Boise State on Aug. 30.
The offense consists of quarterback Aaron Flowers, running back Norman Clarke, wide receivers Jerome Henry, Aaron Arnold and Mike Ogas, tight end Ryan Schatz, tackles David San Vicente and Brian Hubinger, guards Paul Sauter and Toma Popescu and center David Joralemon.
On defense, the Matadors will line up ends Dan Lazarovits and Brett Nordyke, tackles Pete Silvey and Ronald Aumua, linebackers Marc Goodson, Kaleon Green and Franck Pace, cornerbacks Bennie Herron and Donnell Day, strong safety Shayne Blakey and free safety Howard Henry.
The Matadors will take 58 players to their three nonconference road games and 48 players to Big Sky Conference games, the maximum allowed by the league.
