When Dave Baldwin left Cal State Northridge after last season to coach football at San Jose State, he got a big raise and inherited a Division I-A program that has apparently hit rock bottom--almost. According to Sports Illustrated’s preseason poll, the Spartans rank 111th out of 112 schools.
