FBI and CIA

Loved Paul Conrad’s Keystone Cops cartoon of Aug. 8, in which he had the two cops standing in for the capital I’s in FBI and CIA (“The Keystones of our Security”). The FBI could take a first step toward combating this kind of well-deserved ridicule by removing the name of J. Edgar Hoover from its headquarters building.
As for the CIA, it might as well stand pat. This agency has performed so ineptly for so long in so many places that nothing can redeem its reputation.
