Residents and business owners worried about the looming inconveniences of the I-5 North Improvement Project can now request a free video explaining the plans.
The 14-minute informational video is available in English and Spanish and can be borrowed for four weeks at a time by calling the Transportation Hotline at (714) 724-2077.
The tape will be mailed out with a self-addressed envelope included for return, said a spokesman for the Orange County Transportation Authority and the California Department of Transportation.
The $1.1-billion project will widen and improve 9.5 miles of the Santa Ana Freeway as it passes through Buena Park, Anaheim, Orange and Fullerton.
The video describes expected ramp closures and alternate means of travel and refers the viewer to specific sources of information.
“The video answers many general project-related questions and provides a view into the future through the photo visualizations of the completed freeway,” OCTA Chairman Robert P. Wahlstrom said.
