Computer skills, sports and drama classes have been added to a children’s after-school program offered annually by the Westside Family YMCA.
Spaces for children in kindergarten through sixth grade are still available for the fall program, which begins Sept. 4, said Ann Samson, executive director of the Westside Family YMCA.
The program runs weekdays from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m. The program, which serves children from six area elementary schools, is held at two sites, Brentwood Science Magnet and Roscomare Elementary School.
Cost varies by a family’s ability to pay, but typically is between $200 to $300 per month for each child, Samson said.
Interested parents should call the Westside Family YMCA at (310) 477-1511.
