Yaroslavsky to Discuss Valley Rail Line

Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky will discuss the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and proposals for a Valley rail line at a meeting Wednesday of the San Fernando Chamber of Commerce.
Yaroslavsky, who was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1994 after serving 18 years on the Los Angeles City Council, will be the featured guest at the chamber luncheon, said Joe Sandoval, the group’s program coordinator.
“It’s fortuitous timing because there has been a lot of news recently about the MTA and the rail line,” Sandoval said.
“[Yaroslavsky] will discuss what his views are and, hopefully, give an overview of the issues, a little more insight into what is happening.”
The public meeting will begin at noon at the Odyssey restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive, Granada Hills.
There is a $16 charge for the luncheon.
For more information, call the chamber at (818) 361-1184.
