In conjunction with an exhibition of Robert Cremean’s massive sculptural installation, “Vatican Corridor, a Non-Specific Autobiography,” at the Orange County Museum of Art through Sept. 21, Manuscript Press has published two literary works by the artist.
The sculpture consists of 20 8-foot-tall nude male figures carved in sugar pine and arranged in two facing rows. One publication, “The Tenth Arch,” conceived as a sequel to the artwork, comprises a small book and a CD with readings by the artist. The second publication, “Seven Lectures,” is a printed version of talks given by Cremean from 1964-85 at museums, colleges and art conferences.
