Vintage Grand Prix

Vintage cars will race along downtown Los Angeles streets today through Monday in the inaugural Los Angeles Grand Prix. A street fair will be held at Olvera Street, with food concesssions throughout the area. On Sunday only, the MTA will host an exhibit of classic Ferraris.
Times: Sunday and Monday: practice runs, 8 a.m.-noon; races, noon-5 p.m.; Monday: practice runs, 8-10:30 a.m.; ceremonies and races, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Entrances: In front of Union Station at Alameda and Los Angeles streets, Cesar Chavez Avenue and New High Street, Main and Temple streets.
Cost: General admission, $17.50 today; $20 Sunday and $20 Monday. Three-day pass, $40. Grandstand tickets, about $35 a day to $50 for three-day pass. Family rates. Tickets on sale at gate or (800) 946-4090. Ferrari exhibit is free.
Parking: Signs will direct spectators from freeway ramps to lots offering all-day parking for $5.
Bus routes: 52 MTA bus lines will be detoured. Signs will be posted for temporary stops. Information: (800) COMMUTE.
