2 Die, 1 Injured in Car Accident on Brea Boulevard

BREA — Two people were killed in a traffic accident late Friday north of Brea near the Los Angeles County line, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The three-vehicle crash occurred at 9:45 p.m. on Brea Boulevard near Tonner Canyon Road, CHP officials said. A third victim with major injuries was taken by helicopter to a local hospital, officials said.
The crash and the subsequent need for the helicopter forced the closing of the road, officials said. The names of the people involved and the circumstances of the crash were unavailable late Friday.
