Auditions Planned for Children’s Choir
The Los Robles Children’s Choir will hold auditions for the 1997-1998 season from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the music department at Moorpark College. The choir offers youths ages 8 to 14 an opportunity to enhance their singing skills while performing classical and contemporary music.
This year the choir will offer a training program for singers with less experience. After auditioning, singers will be assigned to one of two groups, both of which will perform regularly throughout the season.
Donna Young, the choir’s director, said she hopes a total of 50 singers participate this year. The choir began in 1990 as the Amadeus Boys Choir. A separate girls choir was formed two years ago. For information, call 480-1880.
