Protecting a Park: As a judge approved a preliminary injunction against the 18th Street gang, East Valley Councilman Richard Alarcon asked City Atty. James K. Hahn to help him secure a similar court order to keep gangs out of Hubert Humphrey Park in Pacoima. “The community is very clear in the matter,” Alarcon said. “We are tired of the violence and want our neighborhood park back.”
