* Thank you for including Charles Maclay in your “Valley 200” series (Aug. 15). The piece means a lot to me as current pastor at First United Methodist Church of San Fernando, because Maclay was so instrumental in founding our church in 1878. I believe it is the oldest Protestant church in the San Fernando Valley. It was incorporated by the state in 1896. We’ve been in our third location at 1525 Glenoaks Blvd. in San Fernando since the early 1950s.
