Golf Course Vote

* Re “Claim Filed Against City Over Rejected Golf Links,” Aug. 1.
Notice to the Los Angeles City Council: Reference your recent negative vote on the Tujunga Wash golf course, consider the following:
* I will not pay any city taxes for any portion of a monetary settlement you may be required to make with the golf-course investors. This is entirely your decision and not that of the majority of the city. You continue to bend to money sources and special-interest groups, not the common man. This is yet another example of City Council arrogance, a waste of our tax money as well as five years of time, while using environmental reasons as an excuse.
* If the City Council, or one of the city agencies, approves the construction of even one house, let alone a development, on the land previously declared as the rejected golf course, then the City Council, the union, the various environmental groups and all others who voted or lobbied against the Tujunga Wash golf course will be required to pay for one year’s free golf for all golfers currently registered to play on the city’s courses.
