Hopper Fire Crews Grateful for Support
* The Hopper fire burned more than 24,000 acres and, at its peak, required 2,000 men and women to support the suppression roles. These men and women were present throughout the Fillmore and Piru areas for more than a week.
We would like to thank the citizens of these communities for tolerating an influx of personnel and equipment necessary for the safe and effective mitigation of this incident.
The support of the citizens, local government and businesses was greatly appreciated by the firefighters.
