Major Memories

So enjoyed the article on the minor leagues in Iowa (“Teaming With Atmosphere,” July 6). We traveled to Clinton in 1988 to watch our son Steve pitch for the then Clinton Giants.

He and his bullpen buddies grew a vegetable garden in the bullpen. Steve made the Midwest League All Stars that year, and his roommate was Rod Beck. Memories, memories--best years of our lives, watching our three sons play ball.
