24 Die Amid 3rd Round of Voting in Kashmir

At least 24 people died in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir as a third round of elections was held. Gunmen killed eight people on a bus, and six soldiers died when their vehicle ran over a land mine that was believed to have been planted by Islamic militants.
Two militants, a political activist and a soldier died in other incidents.
Then today, another land mine killed at least five more soldiers, and a bomb on another bus killed at least one person and injured at least 20, authorities said.
