Delta Air Loses Bid to Stop Harassment Suit
- Share via
Delta Air Lines Inc. must defend against a lawsuit by an employee who alleges that she was raped by a fellow flight attendant, as the U.S. Supreme Court turned away the company’s appeal.
The attendant contends the airline ignored complaints by two other employees who previously alleged that they were raped by the man.
Delta argued unsuccessfully that the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals had improperly expanded the employer responsibility for preventing sexual misconduct by their workers.
The case now returns to a federal trial court in New York.
