Airport Passenger Count Jumps 50% Since 9/11

John Wayne Airport posted a 50% increase in September passenger traffic over September 2001, officials said Wednesday.
More than 606,600 passengers used Orange County’s only commercial airport last month, compared with 403,467 the previous September.
Total takeoffs and landings also increased, from 23,481 in September 2001 to 31,225 last month.
