Body Found; Murder Suspected

The body of a teenage girl was found Saturday on a street in Hacienda Heights, five miles from where sheriff’s deputies believe she was murdered.
The deputies believe the girl, who had not been identified, was killed at Turnbull Canyon Road and Skyline Drive and then dragged to the intersection of Colima and Hacienda roads.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the intersection just before 5:30 a.m. after receiving a call about a dead body in the road. They called sheriff’s homicide detectives when they determined that the girl was not the victim of a hit-and-run accident, said Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Lendman.
No arrests had been made, and the cause of death was still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department at (323) 890-5500.
