Catholic Theology

In his letter concerning your article on St. Edward’s Church, Eric Forster asked what spirituality remains in the Catholic Church without priests (Oct. 7). The church teaches that Christ is present in the Eucharist, the Scriptures and in the assembly, and not exclusively in the form of the priest. Forster’s theology is not inaccurate, but it is narrow and decidedly pre-Vatican II.
