Beachside dining at Rosewood Miramar, multicourse meals at Auburn and more restaurant news

Rosewood Miramar Beach is now open in Montecito on the site of the historic Miramar Hotel, which closed in 2000. Seven restaurants and bars are operating at the new beachside resort, including a location of Malibu Farm and a southern Italian restaurant with ocean views and chef Massimo Falsini, who earned a Michelin star at Harry’s Bar in Rome.

Auburn
Eric Bost, the former executive chef of République, will open Auburn on March 15. The restaurant offers various options for diners to create their own four-, six- or nine-course dinners, with dishes such as asparagus with razor clams and bone marrow, and Sonoma duck with sprouted rye and black garlic. An à la carte menu will be offered at the bar.

Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden
Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden will open a second location on March 19 in Mar Vista. Expect schnitzel in whiskey sauce, elk sausage, German and Belgian draft beers, plus an enclosed patio and a jackalope collection.

StrikeZon
StrikeZon is now open in Koreatown. The South Korean-imported sports bar features screen-assisted batting and pitching cages just in time for Dodgers season, as well as draft beer, soju, rotisserie chicken, and Spam musubi.

Woon Kitchen
Noodle pop-up Woon Kitchen just opened its first bricks-and-mortar location in Westlake. A short menu of Chinese comfort dishes, with influences from Shanghai, includes chewy stir-fried beef noodles, pork belly bao with house-made pickles and fried tofu fish cakes.

Fava
A pop-up series called Fava will host its first L.A. event, an Alaskan seafood dinner with Italian and Filipino influences, on March 21. Future dinners will highlight the cuisine of Guam and feature WesBurger from San Francisco. Jesse Friedman, a former brewmaster at Almanac Beer Co., is the organizer of the collaborative chef series.

The Normandie Club
The Normandie Club in Koreatown will debut a newly redesigned extension on March 14 in the space that used to be the Walker Inn.

Closings
L’Assiette, the steak frites specialist on Melrose, has closed after more than four years.
Wolf and Tacos Lobos, neighboring restaurants from Marcel Vigneron on Melrose, are closed. Tacos Lobos replaced Vigneron’s plant-based restaurant, Beefsteak, in December.
Two Boots Pizza has closed in Echo Park after 10 years.
Wolfgang’s Steakhouse has closed in Beverly Hills. The restaurant is looking to reopen in a new location, according to a manager
Extras
Nancy Silverton will open the Barish, an Italian steakhouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt, with a new restaurant group being formed by Lydia and Joe Bastianich and others. The restaurant is slated to open in January.
