Laguna celebrates water polo history

Laguna Beach High will celebrate 40 years of its rich water polo

tradition when it holds the first Alumni BIG SPLASH Match and Reunion

set to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the school swim complex.

All players, parents and coaches -- past and present -- are

invited to be part of the day that honors Laguna water polo teams

dating back to 1965.

Winners advance in city tennis tourney

The seventh annual City of Laguna Beach Tennis Tournament got

underway last weekend with a full schedule of play at Alta Laguna

Park.

The tournament will continue both Saturday and Sunday, with play

beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Here are results from the early rounds of competition:

Men’s Division

5.0 Singles
