SATURDAY
Pet Packs animal treats creator Judith Hendler, a Huntington Beach
resident, will be selling the edible greeting card and donating
proceeds during the “Picnic With Your Pets” event from 11 to 3 p.m.
at the Hotel Huntington Beach, 7667 Center Ave. All proceeds are
being donated to the Seal Beach Animal Care Center and Save Our

A women’s self defense workshop will take place from 2 to 4 p.m.
at the Yoga Place, 301 Main St. In the workshop, participants will
learn to stay calm, focused and aware under adverse situations.

SUNDAY
Huntington Dog Beach will hold its monthly beach cleanup and needs
volunteers to help. Quarters for parking, pizza and cleaning supplies
will be provided. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at the white canopy near Tower 24. The nearest
parking will be along Pacific Coast Highway between Goldenwest Street

A 100-year History of Huntington Beach, an exhibit that includes
photographs, artifacts and documents reflecting the growth of
Huntington Beach in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the
Fourth of July Parade will take place at the Huntington Beach Art
Center, 538 Main St. It will take place from noon to 6 p.m. and

The Orange County Fuchsia Society will have its annual plant sale
from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the K-mart store on the corner of
Garfield Avenue and Magnolia Street.
June 26
Save Our Strays of Huntington Beach, the city and Orange County
Animal Care Services, will be sponsoring a low-cost microchip
identification/dog licensing event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake
View Park Clubhouse, 17451 Zeider Lane. Cost is $5 for Huntington

The Huntington Beach Historic Resources Board will present a time
line presentation of 100 years of the growth and development of the
city of Huntington Beach. The community is invited to attend a public
reception from 7 to 9 p.m. with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and
beverages and an opportunity to celebrate the city’s heritage at the
