Ducks tonight
AT CALGARY
When: 6 PST.
Where: Scotiabank Saddledome.
On the air: TV: FS West; Radio: 830.
Records: Ducks 30-21-4, Flames 28-21-7.
Record vs. Flames: 1-0-0.
Update: Only one point separates these teams in the Western Conference standings. The Ducks are still without goalie Jonas Hiller (lightheadedness), but backup Curtis McElhinney was able to preserve a 4-3 win Wednesday night at Vancouver. Defenseman Francois Beauchemin, acquired by the Ducks on Wednesday, will play. A key predictor: The Ducks are 20-0-2 when leading after the second period but 0-16-1 when trailing at that point. The Flames are back in playoff contention thanks to a surge in which they collected at least one point in each of their last nine games. They’ll be without forward Alex Tanguay (neck strain).
